My customer sent me her
Great Grandmother's quilt top not realizing it was uneven. After hours
of measuring and trying to find a way to make it straight I realized this
was not going to happen. I emailed this problem to my customer and we
both agreed the only way to save most of the quilt would be to cut and trim
all sides so that the quilt would lay flat and straight on the bed. I
so hated to lose the scalloped edges.
These wrinkles are the result when you made the quilt
straight at the top and bottom.
My customer emailed me upon receiving the scanned photo: Wow, Joy! the quilt looks great, thank you so much! I can’t wait to show it to the rest of the family!
I told my
customer I had 4 whole circles left over and would she like a pillow sham
and 2 toss pillows. She said "Yes"."We truly appreciate all your time
and work doing this project, now our Great Nana’s work will live on! :)"
