I emailed her quite a few Fabric Sites which carry 'Western' fabrics and she chose the ones she wanted. I then printed, cut them out, and did a little paper layout.
She was pleased with her choices. I ordered her fabric and when it all came in we got busy designing her "Texas" queen size quilt.

I suggested we use strips of
fabric to enable each fabric square to have it's own identity.
